Maria cannot stand her father's authoritarian ways and moves to the city. She is pregnant, and to make matters worse, her boyfriend has abandoned her. When her father is hospitalized, her mother comes to stay with her. Her neighbor, an old recluse whose only friend is his dog, begins to come out of his shell and these three lost souls try to give each other the strength to start over.
María no aguanta más el talante autoritario de su padre y se muda a la ciudad. Está embarazada y, para peor, su novio la ha abandonado. Cuando su padre tiene que ser internado en un hospital, su madre viene a pasar una temporada en su casa. El vecino de María, un viejo recluso cuyo único amigo es su perro, empieza a salir de su encierro. Estas tres almas perdidas tratan de darse fuerza para recomenzar la vida.
