“Madrigal” is a love story told in two parts.
Havana, 2005. Javier is a young actor given to fantasy: that is why he likes writing. When he embarks on a love affair with Luisita –a young lady locked in a world of complexes and secrets— we cannot tell what is truth or lies, appearances or reality. Is Javier lying? In the end, the young writer-actor is a victim of his own game, unable to distinguish fiction from reality, and Luisita ends up tragically disappearing.
The World, 2020. Javier has turned his experiences into literature. The story Javier now recounts tells of his tragic love affair with Luisita in a creative, imaginative and symbolic manner. But the boundaries are once again lost and we cannot tell whether the first story was real or is simply another fantasy born of Javier’s peculiar world.

“Madrigal” es una historia de amor contada en dos partes.
La Habana, 2005. Javier es un joven actor muy fantasioso, razón por la cual le gusta escribir. Cuando inicia su historia de amor con Luisita – una joven encerrada en un mundo de complejos y secretos - no sabemos dónde comienza la verdad o la mentira, la apariencia o la realidad. Al final, el joven escritor-actor es víctima de su propio juego al no distinguir la ficción de la realidad y la joven Luisita termina desapareciendo trágicamente.
Transcurre el año 2020. Javier ha convertido sus vivencias en literatura. El cuento que ahora nos relata repite de una manera creativa y simbólica, su trágica historia de amor. Nuevamente, las fronteras se esfuman y no sabemos si la primera historia fue real o simplemente otra fantasía surgida del peculiar mundo de Javier.
