At the moment that the father of the homeland, Miguel Hidalgo, and Costilla are about to take the cloth with the image of the Virgin de Guadalupe, to deliver the speech (which initiated the struggle for the independence of Mexico), the captains, Allende and Abasolo listen to the story of the events relating the miraculous apparition of the Guadalupana. They return to the past of the harmful consequences of the Conquista, as well as the story of the apparitions of the Virgin in the year of 1931 to a native indigenous man named Juan Diego.
En el momento que el padre de la patria, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla están a punto de tomar el estandarte con la imagen de la virgen de Guadalupe para la arenga con la que da inicio la lucha por la independencia de México, los capitanes Allende y Abasolo escuchan el relato que les hace sobre los hechos relativos a la milagrosa aparición de la guadalupana. Con un retorno al pasado les relata las nefastas consecuencias de la conquista, así como la historia de las apariciones de la virgen en el año de 1931 a un indígena llamado Juan Diego.
