Miranda recalls her teenage years and how her family began to collapse along with a deteriorated and corrupted society also hit by terrorism. At the same time Miranda meets with the urgency to find her missing father whose blood type can save her brother's life, undertaking an uncertain journey. Once there, she will find out her father is hidden in Sibayo – a forgotten town, located a three-day distance from Arequipa’s city – waiting until his crime prescribes. Saul, a young hydraulic engineer, will accompany Miranda on this trip where she will evaluate her past. The events occurred on the road will challenge Miranda’s idea of justice. But, she will become strong for the encounter with her father to whom she has prepared a demanding test from which the whole family life hangs.
Miranda recuerda cuando su familia empezó a colapsar en medio de una sociedad deteriorada por la corrupción y el terrorismo. Después de trece años, Miranda se encuentra con la urgencia de buscar a su padre desaparecido, pues su tipo de sangre puede salvar la vida de su hermano menor, Tomás. Ella emprenderá una búsqueda incierta, contra el tiempo, hacia la ciudad de Arequipa donde ha sido visto por última vez, hace cinco años. Allí dará con el paradero de su padre que se encuentra oculto en Sibayo, esperando que su pena prescriba. Saúl, un joven ingeniero hidráulico, acompañará a Miranda en este difícil viaje en el que hará una revisión de su pasado. Los hechos del camino confrontarán a Miranda con su idea de justicia, pero la fortalecerán para el encuentro con su padre, a quien le tiene preparada una exigente prueba de la cual dependerá la vida de su familia.
