Montalbán is a composer unable to finish a musical score. As a child, he witnessed the murder of his sister. As she fell on a piano, a melody was accidentally composed. Haunted by this piece of music, he becomes a composer, obsessive and mentally disturbed, trying to recreate this traumatic event into an avant-garde composition. Many years later, Ricardo Coppa, a mediocre composer craving for recognition like Salieri, searches for Montalbán, now a forgotten figure, looking to revive his musical creation and make it his own, unaware of the dangers involved in such a pursuit.
Montalbán es un compositor incapáz de terminar una pieza musical. De niño fue testigo del asesinato de su hermana sobre un piano. Al caer sobre este, surgió por accidente una melodía. Obsesionado por esta música y mentalmente desequilibrado, Montalbán se hace músico para recrear este hecho traumático en una composición de vanguardia. Muchos años después, Ricardo Coppa, un compositor mediocre y hambriento de fama como Salieri, busca a Montalbán, una figura olvidada, para revivir esta creación musical y hacerla propia sin imaginarse los riesgos que conlleva tal aventura.
