Luisa leaves her town of San José to go to the capital. She has a letter from her recently deceased aunt recommending her as a good pastry chef to widowed albino, who owns a candy shop. She tells her workmates that in two weeks she is going to marry her boyfriend Carlos, who is a chauffeur for a rich family that lives in the Lomas area of town. But Carlos will deceive her. Overcoming her disappointment, Luisa moves and decides to tell people at work that she did get married. She even has a photomontage made of her as a bride next to Carlos and pretends to be pregnant. The widowed albino sees Luisa alone in Chapultepec and suspects that something strange is going on and decides to propose to her.
