In Nordestina, a godforsaken little town lost in the wilderness, young Karina dreams of becoming an actress and wants to leave to see the world. Before his love escapes from him, Antonio, doña Nazaré’s son, will go in a kamikaze journey to bring the world to Karina. Antonio leaves the town and announces in a TV program that he will perform a sensational feat: he will travel into the future from Nordestina’s main square. If he fails, he guarantees, a death machine will kill him live on TV before everyone’s eyes. A story in which dreams contradict reality and love plays the role of a transforming element.
En Nordestina, un pueblito remoto abandonado de la mano de Dios, la joven Karina sueña con ser actriz y recorrer el mundo. Antes de que la muchacha se le escape, Antonio, el hijo de doña Nazaré, hará lo imposible para brindarle a su enamorada el mundo que desea. Para lograrlo, Antonio se va del pueblo y anuncia en un programa de televisión que se lanzará a una aventura fantástica: viajar al futuro desde la plaza principal de Nordestina. Si falla, garantiza que la ”máquina de la muerte” lo matara en vivo y en directo por televisión a la vista de todos.
